Mapalo Simon, founder of independent menswear brand Studio Mapalo, is a London based fashion designer who combines African and western street style with formalwear.

Simon, whose sustainable approach to fashion involves using recycled materials and repurposing garments, dressed artists including Kida Kudz and Wiley while still in university, and collaborated with Converse and Schuh to release a sustainable footwear capsule. Simon graduated from London College of Fashion in 2020 and has since launched his first collection, Astrida, named after his mother.
